    • Inner Huddle Life coaching is a trust based partnership between you and a professional coach. The aim is to assist you in improving and resolving specific aspects of your life.
  2. What can I expect to gain from life coaching?
    • At the Inner Huddle you can expect unconditional understanding, respect and listening of yourself and your story.
  3. How do I know if I need a life coach?
    • The curiosity that brought you here is an indication that you are seeking something more from life.  You can book in a free initial conversation to determine if I am the right coach for you.
  4. How is life coaching different from therapy?
    • The Inner Huddle coaching is modeled after Rogerian theory, so it is a form of talk therapy.  The main focus is to observe your present situation and determine how I can assist you in moving forward.  Some models of therapy first seek to look into the past or may be problem focused (this is not always wanted by clients).
  5. What kind of issues can life coaching help me with?
    • Together we can tackle many issues, such as but not limited to:
      • Figuring out how to manage your anxiety

      • Controlling your Emotions

      • Working through Trauma or Abuse

  6. Is life coaching confidential?
    • Yes.  Life coaching at the Inner Huddle is 100% confidential.  The Inner Huddle has a confidentiality agreement that is signed and followed by the coach and the client.  The Inner Huddle adheres to the ACA code of ethics and guidelines. (see here for guidelines)
  7. What’s the difference between a life coach and a mentor?
    • At the Inner Huddle I actively listen to you and I get curious about what you say and how you say it.  I will reflect, summarize and sometimes challenge what you say and do.  From there we will develop goals that you will work toward to achieve and establish change.  My expertise lies in listening to you and guiding you toward the solution you believe is right for you.
    • As a subject expert a mentor will actively guide and advise you in your quest.
  8. How do I measure success in life coaching?
    • The success you get from life coaching is directly proportional to the amount of work you put into our conversations, the actions you take to achieve the goals we create together and the commitment you have to see this through.  If you start to see positive change in your life then you know our conversations are working.
  9. How long does the coaching process take?
    • The answer to this question purely depends on the work you are willing to do and the actions you are willing to take.  Change is cyclical, with improvements naturally come setbacks.  Statistically speaking, 6 to 8 conversations is the average time most people report needed to resolve their presenting issue.  Please be advised your case may be shorter or longer than average.
  10. How do I find the right life coach for me?
    • The key to finding the right life coach is to speak with a few coaches until you find the one whom you feel most comfortable sharing your story.  This might take some time but it will be worth the effort.
